Pleasant and comfortable accommodations. On site car parking. Good breakfast and coffee! Pleasant and attentive staff. Room clean and pretty comfortable and quiet. Free WiFi, good connection. Bathroom rather cramped, useable by one person at a time. Odd shower design allows water to leak out onto floor. The location is wonderful, adjacent to large city park. Enjoyed walking the neighborhood and promenade along the sea. Just beautiful, with a variety of eateries close-by. Short walk to train for easy access to central Genova. Proprietor was kind enough to let us leave our car parked for a few hours after checking out while we roamed around the park and nearby museums and mansions. We stayed in Milan and Turin before Genova, and wished we had been able to spend more time around Genova/Nervi, and would consider staying at Esperia again if we return.

Nervi train station is at 100 meters and the trip to Genova city centre takes 20-30 minutes by train. Just on the right of the train station there's the access to a superb path along the shore, the "Anita Garibaldi passegiata". You can follow it to Porticello Nervi (the small port of Nervi). In the port there is one restaurant and one restaurant/pizzeria. A little farther there are other restaurants. The hotel breakfast includes ham, cheese, and baguette bread for breakfast (beside youghurt, sweets, fruits, butter, juice, coffee, etc), which is very welcome. (I dread the crusty, dry, pre-toasted, processed "bread" slices wrapped in plastic that one can find too often in Italian hotels.) The hotel, tucked in vegetation, and the surroundings have a nice riviera-belle-epoque atmosphere. The bathroom was spacious, with bathtub and bidet. All very clean and new. The furniture was also in very good shape. My only complaint would initially have been the price, but now, in hindsight, I don't regret having spent a little more than planned.

This lived up to our expectations; also beautiful dining room and excellent breakfast in a beautiful room. I picked it for price and how lovely it looked in your pictures, and was not disappointed. There was a beautiful park almost next door, and although very close to the train station, it was quiet. One exception, the last night, a guest in the room next to ours talked loudly until almost midnight. But I don't think this was the staff's fault; we didn't complain, as we probably should have. We walked the promanade by the ocean; beautiful and easy access. We would definitely stay here again. I think Genoa Nervi is lovely as well.
