It wasn't great but was a bed for the night. No where near worth the £89 I paid as the room wasn't very clean and the taps and shower didn't work properly in the bathroom. Also used bars of soap and shower gel left for me to use?! Not very hygienic. Housekeeping just let them selves into our room while we were changing and didn't stop when I shouted that we weren't dressed (it wasn't check out time either). Not a good experience but not the worst I've seen.

In short, for the price, it's a good place for a short stay, especially if it doesn't include weekend nights. On weekends, it can be noisy. I stayed there for three weeks when I moved to Newcastle. Not much free space in the room, as it was small and had a double bed. But it was clean and warm. Nevertheless, over the course of three weeks, I came to notice that my bed sheets were never changed. I don't think the idea was to save on laundry, because all towels were changed daily, even unnecessarily. I guess the cleaning staff simply wanted to save time. No disposable soap or shampoo, but the bathroom was modern with a nice shower booth. Also no English breakfast, of course. Only coffee, toast, cereals, yoghurt, basic fruit, etc. But this was included in the price, which I didn't expect. The wireless was free and fast, though there were a couple of afternoons when it was down, on maintenance. Week nights were very quiet, but, on one of the weekends, Friday and Saturday were very noisy until 3 or 4am, with youngsters apparently using their rooms for parties. If you book online, mind to check your credit card afterwards. As soon as I booked my stay online, the hotel took about a third of the full amount from my credit card, but, when I checked in, the guy at the reception wasn't aware of this and asked me for the full payment.
