Route de Thuet, Chaveignes, Indre-et-Loire, 37120, France, ‏‎1-844-302-2242

Le Relais du Plessis - Resort Nature & Spa is a 3-star residence in Richelieu, Indre-et-Loire, France, located within a beautiful, 400-hectares large park that boasts excellent facilities, such as a modern outdoor heated swimming pool and a 3,444-square-foot (320-square-meter) spa with a sauna, spa tub, Turkish bath, and facial treatments. You will be able to taste the delicacies of the Loire Valley cuisine at the fine private restaurant on site.

The residence is located just outside the center of the lovely small town of Richelieu, built during the 17th century by the famous Cardinal Richelieu in the area where he spent his youth. Le Relais du Plessis - Resort Nature & Spa offers serviced apartments in the Loire Valley, located in cozy, traditional wooden cottages that are decorated in traditional French style and each boast either a terrace or a private garden. The apartments range from 376 to 452 square feet (35 to 42 square meters) of surface. There are 4 meeting rooms on site for business and events.

This pet-friendly residence also offers a dedicated playground area for your children, a horse riding center and bicycles for rent that you will be able to use during your stay at the Relais du Plessis. Tennis courts and golf courses are located nearby, making the Relais du Plessis an ideal destination for those who love to practice sports. Be it on foot or bicycle, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the idyllic atmosphere of the Richelieu park and discover the historical, cultural and culinary heritage of the region as you stroll along the alleys of centuries old plane-trees and chestnut trees, observe before the remains of an ancient castle, or discover a very romantic rose garden.

Discover the magic of the Loire Valley! Richelieu was built by the famous architect Jacques Lemercier, the same that designed the marvelous Palais Royal in Paris and the buildings of the Sorbonne University. The town was built under permission of the king, Louis XIII, with walls encircling it and a grid arrangement. Lemercier also oversaw the building of the eponymous palace, the château de Richelieu castle, which is one of the most outstanding of the area. Richelieu is well within the Loire Valley, an area spanning 170 miles (280 kilometers), located in the middle stretch of the Loire River in central France. It is known as the Cradle of the French Language for its cultural and literary significance, and as the Garden of France due to the abundance of vineyards, fruit orchards, artichoke, asparagus and cherry fields which lay around the banks of the river.

UNESCO recently added the central part of the Loire River valley to its list of World Heritage Sites. The valley includes historic cities such as Nantes, Amboise and Orléans and is famous for its castles, most notably the Chateau de Chambord and the Chanonceau. The total number of castles stands at over 300, and they are all magnificent examples of the effects of the ideals of the Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment on architecture.
