Not bad for the price
We stayed Superbowl weekend (Fri-Mon). Check in was a breeze for RM122 which is RIGHT over the lobby entrance and we could hear the hotel flags caught in the wind at night. Get a higher floor. The hotel is chic, quiet. Smaller room, older building: not many outlets and the one in the bathroom stopped working. The heater didn’t always put out hot air (in February). Beds are nice. For some reason had no remote for the TV. Coffee and water in the room are expensive. The bathroom is redone but tiny, and the door locked itself once. The bathroom shower had a gorgeous rainfall showerhead BUT no door. If you can shower without getting water ALL OVER the floor, you're a magician. There's no vent, so the mirrors steamed up. Still, the room was enough space for two and a good value. Room service isn't 24 hours, but the bar downstairs/Ed's Chowder House next door are good. Shoutout to the bartender in the Lobby Bar. After checking out, an $11 charge appeared on my card. I called accounting and reception with no response. I emailed and accounting reversed the $11 charge without telling me what it was for. Supremely sketchy. The hotel is near transportation and good food/coffee, banks, a pharmacy, and the shops at Columbus Circle. A few blocks from the park. Right next to Lincoln Center. Would recommend, but just know it's not a HIGH END hotel. If you're coming for the Gossip Girl menu, the only themed thing left on the Lobby Bar menu is the Chuck Bass cocktail (which was delicious btw).

Nice stay.
Great location for the NYC marathon. Only complaints were they didn't restock the shampoo and getting ice was an hour ordeal. (However, there is a drugstore around the corner and we ended up just getting ice from them for the other 3 days.) And no top sheets! What?
