Hotel Wallis - Munich

I would recommend this without reservation. Though in the "train station" area, it was just far enough away one didn't notice. A bit small, but had been redecorated with nice decor of paintings and antique Germanic furniture. Price OK for area, though a bit expensive. The breakfast was one of best we have had Hotel was very convenient to all public transportation, walking to Marienfeld, restaurants nearby, plus middle-eastern, mexican, and the like plus McDonald's and Burger King on same block. *Alt Munchen" around corner in alley quintessential German eating place -- loud, crammed, spotty service, but good food. Others they directed us to were good as well. Used to Wallis type restaurants. They touted a 8.0 rating on another booking site and I would agree, maybe a bit more. Other guests were mixtures of young, even some sports teams, ages, ethnic background-- all around good group.
