Reception staff were rude, but cleaning and bell boys were very pleasant. No free internet available, a week ago I stayed at a 4 stars hotel in Riyadh and had free internet for several devices! The website mentioned 10 minutes drive distance from the Haram, an exagerated remark, it's more like half an hour. The room needed dusting, especially the mini bar area, it seem like it hadn't been dusted in a while. First day cleaning didn't take place until after 2 o-clock, reception should inform the cleaning staff about rooms which are booked for more than a night.

Staff unwelcoming and actually rude. The concept of customer service is totally alien here and the discrimination betweenSaudis and westerners is disgraceful. The food is bland and without variety. The rooms are nice and the bed is excellent however the housekeeping is atrocious. Face flannels magically disappear and are not replaced. You have to write notes to get water, shower gel etc. I don't know where you got five stars from but you certainly don't deserve them. There are no leisure facilities or outside areas. It's like a prison
