About Folgaria Ski Area

Beneficial Fresh mountain air and sunny winter slopes await you in the plateaus of Folgaria and Lavarone. Located in south-east Trentino, those are very popular ski destinations among Italian families.

Useful Ski Info: Besides downhill skiing and snowboarding you can ice-skate on the Lavarone Lake, go tobogganing and even nordic walk or cross-country ski. The network of slopes in this area is known as the Skitour dei Forti (Fortresses Ski Tour): 82 km (82 mi) of ski runs unraveling around fortresses from the First World War.

Lifts and Slopes in Folgaria and Lavarone: 8 ski areas, 40 lift, and 100 km (62 mi) of slopes. Slopes include 18 blue, 18 red, 1 black. Possibly the most famous slope in the area, the red Salizzona offers stunning panoramas over the forests and Alps. A must-ski slope try for expert skiers is the black Avez del Prinzep slope - 2 km (1 mi) of pure adrenaline!

Ski pass Info: The Superskirama pass gives you access to the entire ski area, with several combinations available.

Weather in Folgaria and Lavarone: Snow is guaranteed throughout the entire winter season thanks to the snowmaking systems. Expect sunny and not-too-cold temperatures during winter.

Can I snowboard in Folgaria & Lavarone?

The Folgaria and Lavarone areas offer several different places to go snowboarding. Visitors can try out this exciting winter sport at Mazinga Park in the town of Folgaria, at the Snowpark Rivetta near Lavarone and at the nearby Jurassik Snowpark, which is on Alpe Fiorentini.

The Folgaria and Lavarone ski resorts are a part of the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta area and feature paths that wind through forested areas and around old World War I forts. Snowboarding here is like taking a leap back in history while enjoying all the modern amenities that a guest would expect from a world-class resort. Visitors can also receive snowboarding instruction from world champions in the sport.

How can kids have fun in Folgaria and Lavarone?

Children are welcome throughout all the ski resort areas in Folgaria and Lavarone, and there are many facilities geared toward children's activities. The children's snow park includes inflatable games, fields for playing in the snow and basic instruction for skiing. Childcare is also available so that parents can get out on the more difficult runs or enjoy some time relaxing together.

Older children can participate in ski groups and take beginner ski lessons. Kids who have been out on the slopes before can take a refresher ski class. There are also other winter sports activities for kids to try out, including snowboarding, ice skating and tobogganing.
